What is Klinik.AI
Klinik AI is a software solution that employs Klinik’s medical algorithm and through an automated health assessment interviews a patient, constructs a differential diagnosis and estimates urgency of care.
Klinik AI is currently processing ~250,000 patient assessments monthly and has completed ~10 million in total. Klinik AI has demonstrated its real-world value by handling a significant volume of healthcare interactions in the UK 🇬🇧, Finland 🇫🇮, Netherlands 🇳🇱, Portugal 🇵🇹 and Ireland 🇮🇪.
Performance & Safety Metrics: Klinik AI demonstrates high safety performance (~98% alignment with professionals’ triage decisions for emergency vs. non-emergency cases) and a cautious approach to emergency suggestions (~14% emergency suggestion rate). We maintain a continuous feedback loop with healthcare professionals to monitor and improve algorithm accuracy.
Stability: Klinik AI is deployed on Google Cloud, ensuring a robust, secure, and highly scalable infrastructure. This allows for dynamic scaling to handle fluctuating patient volumes without performance degradation, ensuring high availability even during peak usage periods.
How it works
Klinik AI takes a full history of the patients’ condition through its intelligent triage and transfers this information directly into the EHR. This allows you to prioritise, allocate and signpost those patients to the appropriate care pathway.
Key Features
- Patient Interaction: Patients engage with Klinik AI via your platform’s digital interface (web portal, mobile app). They provide symptoms and history through structured questions or free text.
- AI Processing: The collected data is securely transmitted to Klinik AI’s which generates a differential diagnosis, estimates urgency, and identifies red flags.
- Information Output: The AI’s output (differential diagnosis, urgency level, patient summary) is securely transmitted into your Electronic Health Record (HER.
Stakeholders
Klinik.AI – Provide the medical algorithm software that collates the patient information that is submitted through the MGN patient portal and provides the outcome information for you, the healthcare provider. Practices contract directly with Klinik for the supply of their software.
HvNL – Partner with Klinik and support practices throughout the implementation process and beyond.
PharmaPartners – Provide the MGN patient portal and ensures the outcome data is transferred securely into the EHR. Practices will need to separately set up a licencing agreement with PP.
Implementation Process
Implementation is very quick typically taking only one week after contracts are signed. The below image provides an overview of the process.
